International Patient Services
Many patients travel from all over the world to receive care at Continental Hospitals for a variety of medical specialties.
The majority of the foreign patients we encounter come from the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia as well as from Europe and the US to receive advance medical care in India. We promise to provide the greatest care, facilities, and knowledge in the Indian healthcare sector, all of which meet international standards.
How can we help you with your visit?
Hotel Accommodation:
Please feel free to contact our International Patient Care Centre if the patient and/or caregivers prefer to remain close to the hospital for continuous care or until full recovery. A list of hotels, service apartments, guest houses, and five-star hotels close to the hospital is available from the patient care team. You can choose your stay either before or after the treatment, depending on your budget.
Airport Arrival:
After receiving confirmation of your arrival date, an International Patient Care Centre representative will welcome you. When you arrive, the Foreigners Regional Registration (FRR) process will be completed. According to schedule, a pickup will be made from the airport. Depending on the patient’s medical condition, the pickup service will be organized. On request, other services like currency exchange and language translation will also be provided. Depending on your itinerary, our representative will accompany you to the hospital or the hotel.
Hospital Arrival:
Our international patient care staff will meet you when you arrive at the hospital on the day of your consultation. Both the registration process and the doctor consultation will be facilitated for you.
Translation Service:
For patients who don’t speak English, interpreters and translators are available. On request, we can provide interpreters for our international patients in a number of languages, including Arabic, Nigerian languages, Japanese, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
Discharge & Departure:
You will be released from the hospital with a certificate stating that you are fit to fly if the doctor determines that your health is normal and you are ready to fly home. You will be released from the hospital with prescriptions for ongoing care, correct care instructions, and a medication schedule.
Patient Relations: A Patient Relations Cell ensures that every in-patient has an incredibly welcoming and trouble-free experience while at Continental Hospital.
In the event of any issues, the Patient Relations Cell serves as a mediator to find a solution that complies with hospital policies, addresses patients’ concerns, and does not infringe on the rights of other patients or hospital staff.
Patient Relations Cell addresses the following issues:
- Concerns about your hospitalization
- Questions on the Hospital policies
- Questions on the services rendered at BGS Global Hospital
- Any special needs that of the patient and/or family members
Medical Visa
All international patients wanting to receive medical or surgical treatment at Continental Hospital in Hyderabad are encouraged to go with a valid medical visa only. Our foreign patient care staff requests a copy of every patient’s passport, as well as the passports of any guests they may be bringing. Once our International Patient Care staff obtains a copy of your passport, they will send you the visa invitation letter.
The medical invitation letter we provide for your visa will have your name as it is on your passport, along with the passport numbers. One invitation letter will be adequate for the patient and the attendant. When visiting the Indian embassy, patients from other countries are advised to print the document and provide the necessary paperwork. Patients are also advised to make a note of the time and date of their appointment at the nearby Indian Embassy.
Your application will be examined by the Indian embassy or high commissioner, who will then determine whether to accept it. The Indian embassy would typically provide a six-month visa. In order to confirm the arrival date and time, patients must also email their airline tickets.
