The best hospital in Delhi for multi super-specialties is Indraprastha Apollo Hospital with the world’s best medical treatments for various diseases and world-class facilities. Dr. Prathap C. Reddy, widely regarded as India’s architect of modern healthcare, established Apollo Hospitals in 1983.
One of the world’s first hospitals to use technology to streamline healthcare delivery, Apollo Hospitals is now a global leader in this field. Since its founding, more than 150 million people from 140 different countries have trusted Apollo Hospitals.
The government of India bestowed a rare honor upon Apollo by creating the first commemorative stamp for a healthcare institution in acknowledgment of its extensive accomplishments. Every day, the hospital sees over 10,000 pharmacy walk-ins, 2200 admissions, and over 3000 emergency patients. More recently we successfully completed 20 million health checks.
The medical community of Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals has won numerous honors and awards over the years in appreciation of their groundbreaking contributions to Indian healthcare.
We are aware of the difficulties you and your family may face when seeking medical care outside of your own country. Our International Patient Care team works to ensure your safety and comfort throughout your stay in India since we are dedicated to giving you a safe healing experience. The International Patient Lounge offers services such as visa assistance, airport transfers, travel and accommodation, coordination of all medical appointments, interpreters provided by international staff, internet with Wi-Fi, mobile sim cards, lockers, shopping & recreational options, and food to suit your tastes.
The international patients’ department of Apollo Hospitals will assist in planning your stay in reputable three- or five-star hotels as well as comfortable guest rooms before and after your treatment, as needed and in accordance with your budget.
After a successful treatment, the doctor will provide you advice for aftercare and, if required, follow-up support for future sessions. We organize all of your medical reports, help you with any questions you may have following your hospitalization and direct you through the discharge procedure.
Indian government restrictions apply to foreigners’ entry, stay, and departure. By giving you the required information, we can help you obtain a medical visa from your country’s embassy or consulate. The benefit of a medical visa is the ability to extend it if necessary during treatment, which is not possible with a tourist visa (T).
Family members and companions of patients who travel to India for medical care are granted a Medical Attendant Visa (MEDX) that lasts for the same amount of time as the patient’s medical visa. Please be aware that a medical visa (MED) is required for cancer treatment and organ transplantation. Unless their visa specifically states otherwise, foreign nationals spending more than 180 days must register with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) within 14 days of their arrival.

The patient’s medical visa invitation letter will be sent via email to them and the closest Indian embassy once the hospital’s International Patient Care staff has received the copies of the passports. Patients from other countries are advised to print the document and bring the required documents when they visit the Indian consulate.
Additionally, patients are urged to note the date of their appointment at the nearby Indian Embassy. The Indian embassy will typically provide a 6-month visa. Patients are also asked to send their airline tickets in order to confirm the arrival date and time.
